Fenomena Alam : Awan Ribut Yang Amazing di Beijing...

Awan yang pelik telah muncul di Beijing yang menyerupai awan 'mushroom' seperti selepas letupan bom nuklear. Awan tersebut muncul hampir sejam pada jam 7 petang ni Beijing.  Menurut National Center for Atmospheric Research, awan komulonimbus gergasi ini berbentuk sedemikian kerana pada asalnya, awan tersebut dalam keadaan menegak. Tetapi apabila udara panas melaui awan iut, ia mula menjadi melintang dan menghasilkan pemandangan yang ajaib ini.

Teori Konspirasi: Mengenal Yahudi

Sebagai Muslim, adalah menjadi kebaikan sekiranya kita bertaaruf dengan bangsa lain. Ramai kita mengenali bangsa-bangsa yang berada di sekeliling kita. Akan tetapi kita menghadapi sedikit kesukaran untuk mengenali bangsa yang tiada di persekitaran kita, atau barangkali agak sinonim dengan permusuhan dengan kita walaupun bukan semua mereka begitu.

Apa kata kali ini kita mengenali sedikit etika Rabbi Yahudi sebagai pengetahuan tambahan kita bersama. Berkebetulan saya sedang membuat sedikit kajian mengenai industri pemakananan kosher, elok juga saya kongsikan beberapa etika Rabbi mereka di sini. Sekurang-kurangnya kita boleh membuat sedikit perbandingan dengan diri kita sendiri, dan mana tahu suatu hari nanti kita perlu berurusan dengan orang Yahudi yang baik, maka pengenalan ini adalah penting supaya wujudnya sikap hormat-menghormati antara kedua-dua pihak.

Rabbi (biasanya disebut rabai) secara literalnya bermaksud guru. Di dalam budaya masyarakat Islam, gelaran yang setara dengan Rabbi ialah Ustaz. Rabbi biasanya merujuk kepada orang Yahudi yang kuat berpegang kepada ajaran Judaism Orthodox. Justeru bukan semua orang Yahudi, terutamanya yang sekular mengamalkan etika di bawah ini.

Sabbath


Hidangan Ketika Menyambut Sabbath

Shabbos atau Sabbath, ialah hari hujung minggu bagi orang Yahudi. Ianya bermula ketika terbitnya matahari Jumaat sehinggalah terbitnya tiga bintang pada Sabtu Malam. Secara tradisionalnya, orang Yahudi akan menyambut Sabbath lebih kurang 18 minit sebelum ketibaannya.

Waktu ini ialah waktu yang penting bagi penganut Yahudi. Biasanya mereka akan berkumpul bersama ahli keluarga dan menunaikan sembahayang mereka. Pada hari tersebut, mereka dilarang sama sekali daripada bekerja. Ini termasuklah urusan kerja yang kecil seperti memandu, menelefon dan membuka suis lampu. Kerana itulah mereka akan cuba menyelesaikan kerja mereka menjelang petang Jumaat.

Yom Tov

Yom Tov secara literal bermaksud hari perayaan yang baik (good day). Ianya ditentukan menurut kalender Yahudi yang berasaskan sistem lunar. Kebiasaannya pantang larang ketika hari Sabbath digunapakai ketika Yom Tov, terutamanya larangan bekerja. Antara Yom Tov ialah:

Rosh ha’Shanah (dua hari) – Tahun Baru Yahudi

Yom Kippor – Hari Penebusan (atonement)

Sukkos dan Shmini – Pesta Tabernacles

Pesach – Passover

Sh’vuos – Feast of Weeks

Sembahyang

Orang Yahudi bersembahyang tiga kali sehari semasa hari bekerja (selain hari Sabbath). Sekali di waktu awal pagi, kemudian di waktu tengahari dan terakhir sekali di waktu malam.

Synagogue

Tempat perkumpulan untuk bersembahyang bagi penganut agama Yahudi dikenali di dalam bahasa Inggeris sebagai synagogue. Mereka menyebutnya sebagai beyt t’fila. Akan tetapi orang Yahudi ortodoks sebenarnya tidak menggemari penggunaan perkataan synagogue, sebaliknya mereka lebih suka menggunakan perkataan ‘shul’ merujuk kepada beyt t’fila mereka.

Berjabat Tangan

Amalan berjabat tangan adalah kebiasaan orang Yahudi. Akan tetapi sama seperti orang Islam, mereka dilarang sama sekali daripada bersalaman dengan yang berlainan jantina.

Percampuran Lelaki dan Perempuan

Orang Yahudi amat pantang untuk hidup bercampur gaul antara lelaki dan perempuan tanpa hubungan kekeluargaan. Di dalam pejabat, mereka akan meminta supaya diasingkan tempat duduk dan meja antara lelaki dan perempuan.

Janggut dan Sidelock

Orang lelaki Yahudi berdasarkan sumber biblical utama dilarang daripada mencukur janggut. Justeru ramai yang menyimpan rambut panjang. Selain itu, sebahagian menyimpan sidelock atau sideburn panjang yang dikenali dengan Pay’os dalam bahasa Hebrew.

Yarmulke atau Kippa

Orang lelaki Yahudi biasanya akan memakai kopiah kecil di ubun-ubun kepala mereka. Ianya dipanggil Yarmulke atau Kippa. Secara hokum, ianya wajib dipakai sentiasa. Menanggalkannya dianggap sesuatu yang tidak elok di dalam masyarakat Yahudi.

Kebiasaannya, variasi kippa adalah berdasarkan anutan mazhab, status keagamaan dan sokongan pemakainya. Contoh kippa di atas ialah Yahudi yang menyokong Zionisme.

Tzitzis

Tzitzis bermaksud ‘tassels’. Mengikut ajaran biblical, sekiranya seseorang lelaki Yahudi memakai pakaian yang mempunyai empat penjuru, setiap penjuru tersebut perlu diletakkan dengan tassel khas. Kadang-kadang mereka menyembunyikan tassel ini di belah dalam kot mereka.
